ok well I did hit the search button and after 20 minutes of reading couldn't find anything so here goes:

I'm looking to see if a mazdaspeed 3 manifold will fit on a regular 3 but what I wanna know is does anyone know if anyone makes a turbo outlout peice that would take the T3/T4 turbos or T4 super series turbos? or do I have to go completely custom?

I need to know since I'm buying all my parts and all for my motor/tranny build. I'm already 6g's in the whole and last parts I am looking into is this option. the only reason I ask is bc I can get these style of turbos ultra cheap. so I rather spend three figures for a 60 trim T3/T4 hybrid over a GT35R turbo.

thanks for anyone who helps me out.

The oem ms3 manifold's flange will not accept a t3/4. Steedspeed is currently working on a manifold for the ms3 with interchangeable flanges. I'm not sure if it would fit the reg 3 or not, but the designer is mad cool and would definitely work with you to get your questions answered. Also, if you've already set down 6k in mods, why not get a custom one? Maybe the fab shop could also make your dp so you can route your wastegate dump back into the exhaust. The cost of a one-off mani wouldn't be THAT much more than getting one of the aftermarket options currently out there ($500-700 roughly).

yea I was figuring on going custom... looking to run a T3/T4 60 trim stage 5 since that'll put me at the numbers I want. plus I can't turn down the price of it since the GT35R cost ~1500 and I can get the turbo and both inlet/outlet flange for way under half. I just don't wanna go around here bc not many shops here do good custom one offs.

One of the guys local to me (darksun280 over on MSF) just had a lot of custom work done by a shop on Long Island called NRG to fit a 60-1 turbo. It's a bit of a drive from Toms River, but if you want quality, I think they do very nice work.

i think 500 dollars is pretty expensive for manifold... but maybe i been away from home too long..

It's rough when there isn't a huge market for the product. Manifold producers can't afford to sell them on tight profit-margins like they do for Hondas, Subies, etc...

thanx bro. honestly this has boggled my mind and I have taken apart my exhaust mani and a fellow MS3 owner in my area to see if there is a huge difference. we've been trying to figure out all the spec swaps I can do since I would rather build the stock engine since I can invest either 3g's on a MS3 motor swap or actually spend 2.1g's for all internal parts and all machine work to be had. and honestly rather build the stock MZ3 block up so I know it'll be all nice and safe for boost+meth levels I'm setting for myself.

i think you will be much happier with that route. build it first and then turbo it. much safer man
