Odd, i was driving home today from school and all of a sudden my Tripodometer reset it self without me pushing the button. It was at 1650 miles next thing i know.. 0 miles. :?

Could this be a problem?

What? My trip meter rolled over after 999.9 miles. I didn't think it could go to 1000 miles cause both of my trip meters are in the double or triple digits (A - reset after every full tank of gas, B - never reset), but I have 5,700 miles on my car.

Yeah, that's really weird. How many total miles do you have on the car?

Mine resets at 999.9 and even my Honda Element's trip computers do the same. The honda guys were a little t'ed that it didn't count higher. Their argument was the LCD can display 000,000 so why not code the trips to hold that large of a value. I still don't see what car companies don't fix the trip meter to hold more. Oh well,

Cheers,

hmm.. i know all car Trips only go up to 999.9 then it resets..but i swear it was over 1600... :? thats the odd part i have about 1900 miles on my car

i could be wrong...i'm not sure now..i do wear sunglasses whenever i drive... and when you wear sunglasses and look at the gauges in your 3...since its all displayed by LCD lights n such it kind of glares... so i'm not sure any more

mine did that too!! i honestly didnt know that it resets itself automatically. i was getting gas the other day and resetted trip B cuz i was using B, then i went to A and it was a little over zero. having it reset at 999.9 would make sense cuz i just hit 1000 a few days ago.
