What type of transmission oil is used in my 2010 mazda3 automatic tranny. brands if possible.

These transmissions require M-V fluid (not to be confused with Mercon V). Idemitsu Type M is specifically formulated for and meets meets this spec although for the price, getting the OE fluid directly from the dealer might be cheaper. If you have a Carquest or Advance nearby then their "FRAM Global Multi-Vehicle" fluid claims to be suitable for that spec. Castrol's Transmax ATF/CVT Universal and Transmax Import Multi-Vehicle fluids also says that it's suitable.

Consider the country some members live when responding with blanket statements.
There are not Mazda dealership in virtually every city like here is the USA.
Not all area Mazda dealership have the same price point. It all depends on what quantity level the MAZDA dealership buys what they will offer the over-the-counter price.
There are more independent parts stores that will often have sales on a fluid line that is generally less than any dealership can offer.

Right below every poster's username is the flag of the country they are posting from. OPs indicates that they are in Canada. Plenty of physical Mazda dealers there as well as online ones. Also, it's impossible for multi-vehicle fluid to be exactly the same as an OE fluid, all of those fluids have differing viscosities and additives. If you actually read the bottle, they typically say that it's "suitable" for an application, NOT that it meets "meets OE spec". That's why I usually recommend going with fluids intended specifically for one spec, like the OE fluids from the dealer, if you can. A multi-vehicle fluid would be a lower recommendation if you can't get anything better. At the shop I work for, we have that FRAM Global Multi-Vehicle fluid in stock but we also stock several different spec specific Idemitsu fluids. We only resort to the multi-vehicle fluid when we are out of the Idemitsu fluid for that specific application.

Because we have members from all over the globe reading them, I tend to respond on some threads universally so many can benefit by the information. Otherwise, might as well just PM the OP!

In our shop.....among many things build custom racing automatic transmissions and transmission parts as well do work on OEM transmission like the Mazda transmissions. Every part for a consideration of upgraded parts in many transmissions including the newest Mazda Skyactiv engine supplied automatics has been gone over by not only me but other engineers and have determined there are no unusual parts or materials that Mazda uses therefore most all none OEM fluid will work just fine if applicated in their product information selection and also will and does support the Mazda warranty.

My recommendation is based on extensive use and testing Data logging which include Dyno results and temperature values comparing the transmission and engine under different driving condition both normal street and also track all this is not off the cuff guessing.

You may want to learn a little more about automatic transmission and the choice of fluid viscosity? It not as simple as it is for motor oil and does require knowing at least a little internal operating temperatures value. This is not in any "hand-book" how- to or mechanics training information either.

I am not really going to debate any of this with you so I just will say please try to do a little more fact-finding research.

Go look a #9. Multiple paragraphs shoving "expertise" in my face over a slight disagreement in fluid recommendation when all I recommended was to use the OE fluid over the multi-vehicle stuff? 🤷‍♂️
