was it the lack of traction control that made him piss himself or your perceived car control and his lack of trust :p

Why would a TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM make someone piss themselves?

You do realize thats what TPMS stands for right?

no i have no clue
I was just in a thread talking about the tpms and if I ordered them for my new rims
for some reason I responded to this so fast I typed tpms instead of dsc/tc
sue me....
im a noob, I know nothing
at all, really

btw, when im in whore mode (usually around this time of night) shit flys and sometimes its not well thought out, but usually it is, most people in this sub forum will back me up on that one, however I do full well know just about every nut and bolt on this car and if I dont, I have the workshop manual and service highlights manual to my left. so yeah, I know what tpms is and why it sucks goat balls and why I wish it wasnt on the car.

hah, he wasnt used to the wheel spin mashing it around a turn i think tahts what put him a tad over the edge. He agrees as well the straitline acceleration is a tad better with that junk off as well.

How is the DSC/TC "trick" different that just pushing the DSC button off?
[/quote]

Mike,

The trick appears to actually turn off traction control as well as the dynamic stability control and the engine power is not cut off with the front wheels turned. I wouldn't suggest trying it out today with the fresh snow we got last night :) I tried it on a curvy road when it was dry and the car was actually sliding out through the curves.

Here's the thread. http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=71191.0

if you hit the DSC button in the first few seconds of startup you'll notice that woth the DSC and traction lights stay on. This so far 'seems' to allow the car full boost thru tight corners, that is, bypassing the computer controlled boost limiting due to wheel angle. The little I've experiemented with it (due to road conditions) seems to prove it works.

I've learned to make it customary to turn TSC fully off when I get on the car.

Sorry about giving you a hard time this morning, it was just a little too easy. :) I couldn't believe that Maryland would be that much warmer than Canada; we have warm spells too, but I'm not putting the stock tires back on until late April/early May when we're in the clear from snow and ice. Glad you're parking the MS3 during the storms - much safer.

Have a great day!

Dwayne
