I've read in a few places that having locking wheel nuts on your car can affect the balance enough to create a vibration noticable to some people.

Has anyone else heard of this as a possible explaination?

I'd believe it if the lugs were closer to the outside edge of the wheels. If you're having vibration issues at speed, you should get your wheels balanced.

it wouldnt be the locking wheel nuts. vibration probably because of the wheels being loose or needing a balance...

Re: Think this could be a valid explanation for vibration issues?

Or they need hub centric rings if they're after market wheels.
