So I had a gen 2 speed 3 in college. Sold it in 2015 and have missed it ever sense. A few months ago I picked up a gen 1 after finally realizing I need this thing back in my life. My plan is now to complete restore/maintain this bitch forever (pics below).
I NEED SOME HELP!
I got the car from a younger guy. He was a nice kid, but just loved fucking up cars apparently. My new speed 3 has the worlds worst raceland coils on it and is in desperate need of a timing chain replacement. I'm essentially not driving it right now waiting for my bank account to not hate me enough to afford the timing chain job. If any knows where I can find some oem gen 1 speed 3 suspension for cheap let me know. Doesn't need to be amazing, anything is better than the log wagon ride its got now. He did give me the cars original oem springs and coils, but the rear struts are bent, idk how, and I'm not sure if the front are usable either.
Overall I'm still happy because I got a decent price on it and its only got 106k miles on it. Eventually it will get timing chain, hpfp, repainted, good suspension, track day wheels and tires. Then I'll be chucking it on Road Atlanta for the rest of its life. Never selling it.
