Just got a 2006 Mazda3, man i love this car. Already ordered a Fujita cold air intake, an exhaust system will be next :p. Next little problem i wana tackle is getting rid of all the "useless" plastic in my engine. First off is it useless? Will removing it cause mechanical problems or are they purely cosmetic?. Next if i can take em off does anyone know a web site that has instructions on how to do so. I have tried google searching and nothing is coming up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

The engine cover, battery vent and cover are fine to remove. They simply snap in place, no walk thru is needed. What other parts do you wish to take out?

Yeah, those are the only three plastic pieces that I know of...although IMO I like the plastic cause it gives the bay a cleaner look.
