It seems like most of us 3 owners aren't real excited by the drive-by-wire system that controls the throttle. In the interest of better throttle response, has anyone done or thought about doing a swap to a cable? is this even possible?

oddly enough i was watching Speed network last night and came across some show where they were building tuner cars. One team took a civic and changed from drive by wire to throttle cable. New throttle body, bracket modification, and a new ECU were all needed. I assume similar measures would be required for a Mazda 3- unfortunately we dont have any 'older models' with throttle cable equipped throttle bodies.
