Sun Visor Replacement

This may be a California/ US thing, but both the driver and passenger side sun visors have this airbag warning screened onto the vinyl - a big ugly yellow box. In years past this was a sticker that you could scrape off, but now they (silk?) screen them onto the visors. When you put the visor down to block the sun, the rest of the world gets to see my ugly (upside down) warning thingie...

Long story short, i'm wondering if anyone knows where i can order replacement visors sans the stupid airbag warning.

I would like to know where I can get replacement visors also. I hate those stupid stickers and I would like to have extendable visors so I can block the sun on my morning drive to work.

It's standard on all new cars, so get used to it, buy aftermarket or buy a really old car

i've put a CD-holder that wraps around the visor.. so i see my CDs when i put the visor down.

You could always build your own, I'll look into jsut recovering the current ones, and I too would liek the extended visor part so I'll also look into that this weekend....damn I have a lot of projects going on right now.

Yeah, I'd like to replace them with ones that have extenders... lights would be a hassle to get the wiring up there... but I definately want to ditch the stickers and get extenders since the front windsheild doesn't have a factory tint eyebrow.

How would you remove/install those anyway? Doesn't look too easy.

One or two screws and you can pop the plastic housing off... pretty simple.

If you've got a sunroof there should already be some wires up there you could tap into... Also I wouldn't be suprised if there are wires up there already for that accessory mirror Mazda offers.

I hate those stickers too... they distract me to the point of obsession... or obsess me to the point of distraction... whatever- I really hate them! I'm sort of keeping an eye out for a 3x4 sticker I can put over them; maybe a euro country sticker like most people put on their bumpers.

there are some stickers on ebay that are made to cover the warning. they look like real warnings, but read out ridiculous things relating to vvt to the tune of "vvt makes me so fast you better take of your bra" no, im serious, lol, check it out... :shock:

I know they have some overlay skin type things for the miata's, maybe they'll fit or something.

Worth looking into, they are like rubber. I am at a point where I wanna take them off and spray paint them black. :evil:

i'm definitely not paying $7 for a sticker, so I found a higher resolution version of the ebay warning sticker, and I'm just gonna Photoshop it to whatever size i need and print it out myself.... now all i need is vinyl-sticker printer paper, but i'm not even sure if that exists.
