oh yeah, i got about 400wrms too. But in a 10" kicker truck sub.

You shouldve put a cup or bowl of water or a bowl of marbles/ping pong balls on top and video taped that lol.

It used to rattle but I just stuffed so many shirts between the plastic deck and the metal that its not noticable anymore, and the towel in the rear window. I can't wait until I build my new box, it should be louder than that one. Why is everyone hatin on my SPL?

we dont hate on spl, we hate on rattling....hell theres a dude a few doors down with an 83 caprice classic on dubs with a couple 12's with a ton of spl, but sound like hes gonna shake the chrome of his rims!!!

collectively as a board we seem to like clean cut jobs....

to me, thats ok, nothing special....maybe if it was a 18w3, or something sweet we might be more inclined to be "WOW".....but its a PA sub you can get a Best buy.......

and i doubt your spl is that high pushing 250 @ 8 ohms....drop that sub to 2 ohms if the amp can handle it, then take another vid!!! :lol:

Amp can't handle it, its a 2 channel sony. I didn't know any better when I bought it.

Hey nothing wrong with what you got, just be careful with that sub, they tend to crack around the form on the cone. I can tell you I know that constant buzz from the first vid- air vents in the rear of the car behind the bumper make that noise.
Give it time and you will soon be able to move the doors and rupture a few seals, at least mine did before I quit wreaking the damn thing with the SPL. I like my SQ sub, but it can easily bounce the roof and panels wth a tweak or two.

Theres no rattles inside the car, at least none that I hear. It took a lot of work and frustration though.

No offence but i have never been a big fan of power acoustik. And sony makes the cheapest shit, almost as bad as roadmaster :jimmyt:
get some kicker or JBL subs, you will never think of turning back

My old car used to pump pretty hard until it was all stolen. I'm never subjecting my car that badly when I get my new sub. I'll have a mild 10" setup, and factory mp3 with an aux input when all is said and done. The rest will be performance and handling.

+1 Except mine wasn't stolen. And my Sub isn't mild. And it isn't a 10" and well its nothing like yours. Except Factory HU

A guy with a hatch with 2 - 12" subs here rattle the spoiler of his hatchback.

However Im pretty sure my car hates me less than yours does, It probably has lots of headaches now
