nope...Instead of the horn making all that noise, mazda made it so 1 hit will lock but be silent. 2 hits will sound the horn. Now if you left a door open and tried to hit the FOB twice, it wont make a honk so you know something is open

Also works on the trunk. I remember one time I guess I popped my trunk for some reason because I was about to put something in there (before leaving) but for some reason I decided not to and just put it in the back seat. So I drove 45 - 50 miles until I got to my destination and when I got out of the car I tried to lock my car with my key fob. I push lock once, the doors locked, i pushed it again, and the horn didn't beep. I was kind of baffled and was checking all doors. I then went back to my trunk and low and behold i was able to lift it! So I drove 45 - 50 miles without my trunk latched properly (and it never opened :D). So I close the trunk and it beeped. I thought that was a great feature.

And even further, when you unlock the car with the fob, you normally get only 30 seconds to open a door before the car relocks itself (in case you accidentally hit the unlock button as you walked away from the car). But if you unlock the car, then open the trunk with the key, it won't relock the doors. Great for when you need to load groceries.
