Hey guys.
I am a proud new owner of a True Red 2007 Mazda3 S Gran Touring 4door Sedan.

As you guys all know my S GT comes with stock Xenon lights and I intend on upgrading the lights with higher kelvin bulbs.
I was wondering if I have to buy a full HID Kit ballasts or just replace the OEM D2S bulbs.

Sorry if this answer is already posted on another thread I searched vigorously for the answer and couldnt find it.

Thanks guys. Im glad to be apart of this community!!

Since you have OEM HID's you can just replace the D2S bulbs, just be aware that you'll have less usable light at a higher K. A conversion kit is for upgrading from halogens.

Oh and welcome to the forums :)

Hey thanks for the reply!
What do you mean by less usable light?

You need D2S bulbs in 5000K, 6000K or 8000K.

Why only 5, 6, or 8k? I want 17000k for Violet. Not compatible?
Thanks for the reply
