Ok, with the recent growth of members in the St. Louis area, I thought now would be a good time to start planning for a major meet. Having had several smaller get togethers in the past, it's time to expand and take it to the next level. Previous meets have pretty much been hanging out at my apartment, photoshoot downtown, playing video games, watching movies, and drinking a bit. While fun, the thing that brought us all together was the cars, so why not have a meet centered around the cars.

I figure this meet will take place over 2 days. March 23rd - 24th. A Friday and Saturday, perspectively. Could possibly carry on over to Sunday if need be for any mods we can't get done the other 2 days. Yes, thats right. This will be a mod meet as well. My apartment complex doesn't care about working on cars in the parking lot, I have close to $9k in tools at my apartment, I work on these cars for a living. If anyone has any mods that need to get done, but hasn't had the time or has been scared to do it themselves, this would be a good time to do it. Springs, brakes, HIDs, intakes, headers, exhaust. Doesn't matter to me, I can handle it. Hell, I've dropped my transmission in my parking lot to replace the throwout bearing in my clutch. Viperkiller is really good with a wrench too, and I'm sure he will be here as well.

Anyways. Heres the basic itinerary as it stands now. This is all subject to change of course

Friday the 23rd
-For people arriving early, we can work on some of the less time consuming mods if there are any.
-Meet up for dinner
-Grand Prix Speedways for some go-cart action
-Bowling
-Hit up some parking garages downtown for a photoshoot, head across the river to a spot that will give a great angle of the arch in the background.
-Drive Old Jamestown - Quick little place 5 minutes from my apartment to get a spirited drive in.
-Head back to my apartment for some movies or video games. There is PLENTY of parking here, and my neighbors are either deaf or never home, so noise is NOT an issue. I could probably shoot off an entire magazine from an AK-47 in my living room and not have to worry about anyone calling the cops. And no, I haven't tried this. So if we are drinking and get a little rowdy, its no big deal. As far as the drinking, I really don't care what happens, as long as everyone respects each other, and their property. And no one does anything stupid. And if someone thinks they are gonna puke, there is a balcony for you to puke off of, and I expect to take pictures of you hanging off my railing. That being said, we don't even have to do any drinking, but if someone wants to, I'm cool with it. My selection of booze is rather limited, so this might be a BYOB function. And if someone is coming up from Texas, you better bring me some Shiners! 8)

Saturday the 24th
-Go for a cruise around 9am (details below)
-Get back at my apartment around 1 or 2 in the afternoon and work on the more time consuming mods.
-Mix in more movies / video games.
-Another photoshoot before everyone goes on home in case people weren't available for the one on Friday evening.

Sunday the 25th
-I'm leaving this open in case people still have some mods we weren't able to get to the previous 2 days.

*Cruise Information*
This is a spirited drive thru some of the backroads around the St. Louis area. The roads in general aren't patrolled by cops, the exception being 109. I know these roads like the back of my hand, and feel very secure in driving spirited on them. Drivers accept all risks of the spirited drives. I won't be pushing it too hard to endanger anyone, nor to attract too much attention to us. I'm not talking about going 100mph down back country roads, no I'm talking about going driving spirited down roads as long as it is safe for us to do so.

Starting in west county in Eureka, go north on 109, shoot up old state, go west on manchester / 100 crossing over I-44, continue going west, go north on 47, go west on I-70, go south on 19. Arrive in Hermann, have some good home style cooking at one of the restaurants there. Start heading back home for the crowning point of the cruise. Go east on 100 untill you hit manchester again, turn left onto Strecker, at the bridge go left again onto Strecker, we'lll turn around in the church parking lot at the end by Kher's Mill to double back and hit Valley. Arrive at Clayton...pulling into Crestview Middle School - end of cruise. Approximately a 155 mile spirited drive thru some very windy and fun roads. Should take about 3 hours to complete.

Now, in order to make this meet as successful as possible. I'd like to get as many people here as possible. If your coming from a far distance and need a place to stay but don't want to spend the money on a hotel, I'll gladly let you crash at my place. There's plenty of room here. There's a couch, and 2 recliners in my living room, and plenty of room for sleeping bags. I might even have an air mattress or 2 available. And as always, any ladies are hereby invited to share my bed with me. J/K

Go ahead and reply if you guys are in for this. I'll go ahead and update this as time goes on so we have a running list of who is going to attend.

Thomas, I'm seeing what I can do about that. I'm trying to clear it with my service manager so we can use the service center there for the lifts after we close on Saturday, which is noon. If we can, that makes it super easy, because I'll have access to to the WDS system. I can't gaurantee that I'll be able to swing that, as the insurance issues are pretty great. If something was to happen to a non-employee in the service bays during a time when the service center is closed, heads would roll. The liability issues are pretty great.

Having lifts + air tools would make mods a LOT easier. But we can manage with jackstands and an electric impact / 100 foot extension cord running from my balcony.

If hes gonna let us in, sure.

Maybe the OBX Genesis will let us do such modification, I'm not too sure. Its slightly more portable then the snap-on deal. If he says no, I can just swing by and pick up the Genesis. As my autoxray 4000 doesn't like the 2006 ecu yet, I can't manipulate as much stuff in it as I can in the 2004-2005's. Due to the PZEV shit being standard on all '06's. I need to download firmware updates for my scanner in order to remedy this, but since my computer is broken right now, and my laptop doesn't have a serial port, this makes it slightly more difficult.

Oh, at least.

I need to see if I can buy that stuff locally. I highly doubt it, but damn that sure is a good beer.

Ok, I found out that one of the members who really wants to come to this but lives a fair distance away (over 3 hours), couldn't work with the date originally planned. So I added a poll to find out whens a good time for everyone. I'm completely open on any of these weekends. So just go ahead and vote.

I'm open for any time, so long as I have 3 weeks notice to get off of work.
