I don't plan to lower my car. I just find that the 225 40 18 tire is too low profile thats why i was considering the 225 45 18. I just want to know if the 225 45 18 tire would rub against anything even if i don't lower it. thanks
Yeah, that's getting to too much tire. It will throw your speedo of. At 60 mph, you'll actually be traveling 62.2 for a 3.6% difference. As noted, you will probably rub on your suspension as those rims have a high offset.
Just as a piece of information. I just picked myself up some MS6 wheels, and I had to buy tires. I was in the same boat, and do not plan on lowering my car. I went to the local tire shop and they test fitted a set fo 225-45-18 on the MS6 wheels. It was close in the front, but the was enough space. Ill post some pics monday or tuesday after I paint them.
