I get up this morning drive to class, I park get out and go to the machine to buy a parking ticket . . . as I’m walking back to the car to put the parking slip on the dash I see a giant footprint on my fcuking hood!! So needless to say my hood is all dented! My car’s only six week old and some asshat stomped on my freaking hood!!!

I didn’t know what to do . . . I was going to be late for class and had already paid for parking so I went . . . sat through class for 2.5 hours feeling like an ulcer was forming in the pit of my stomach . . .

Still feel that way now . . . I don’t know what to do!! I was so excited because today was a nice day and I had all my stuff ready for a good cleaning out of the car . . . now I just feel like crawling under a rock! I’m so fcuking pissed off!

This really sucks because I basically put all my money down for the car . . . and if I recall correctly my deductible is $1000 . . . so I don’t know when I will be able to fix it! So what do now? Insurance? Dealer? Body shops? Police? Can anyone give me an estimate on the cost of a new hood?

This is how my weekend starts! I can’t freaking believe it!

Here are some pics . . . its really hard from the pics to see how bad it really is . . . but the boot print is all dented inwards and all around the periphery.

I wish a could do some CSI shit on the boot print since its so clear.

Oh my God! What is it with these f*cking delinquents vandalizing everyone's cars?!?!?! I am *so* sorry to see that... I'd be heartsick if I saw someone did that to my car.

holy cow... what the hell? so someone stepped on it while it was parked at your house? or do you live in an apartment complex? i can't believe that... people have done some ballsy stuff to 3's lately. you can probably find a hood on eBay for less than $500... or maybe find one here on the boards? good luck, that makes me mad!! :madcrazy: :grr:

hoods arent really that expensive...call bagman... 704-563-1510...ext. 141...ask for jason...tell him i sent you (jake from miami) i think the hood is only 300$ and then paint it...OR call the cops make a police report...then insurance...

WOW i would be extremely pissed too, i would have ran around and found every person with a damn boot on and beat the sh!t out of them...even if they didnt do it and just for having a similar boot near my car lol
good luck with getting it fixed, like steph said look on here or ebay you might find something or just go to a body shop to see how much to fix...quotes = free

apt. because i'm in school. . . but i park it right below the window of my bedroom so i can keep an eye on it, but this still happened. School is over for me in 3 weeks then i can park it safely in my garage @ home. . . now I can't wait to leave and have my car somewhere safe!

You're at school? Did they have any security or cameras there?
You might be able to find a used hood, or have someone pound it out as best
as possible for the time being. I had someon drop something on my g/f's cavalier several years ago. We went to a body shop and after 10 minutes you really can't tell. Then again your car is black so it'll definately stand out. I feel sorry for you man. Hope your weekend gets better.

and if ur detuctable is 1000, forget about insurance, just buy a CF hood (i think it will match good with ur car's color), have a garage repair ur hood and sell it to compensate a bit

a CF hood is actually a really good idea . . . i guess i can think of that as the silver lining of this whole thing. . . now i'm actually really excited! I had really hoped to get some rims this summer, but i guess that'll have to wait . . .

can anybody confirm for me if the hoods have changed for for the 07 . . . i want to start pricing this out!

i dont wanna burst your bubble, but id wait on that CF hood until you move out if you are going to move out in the near future.

unless CF is stronger that someone can step on it without it cracking?

I'm leaving in 3 weeks and now that this has happened i may not stay in this place next year . . .also i filed a police report just in case . . . and went to 2 body shops and they both said it can be repaired one quote came around $600 and the other $700! so a CF hood may even come out cheaper! so it looks like it may be the best way to go. . .

do you have comprehensive coverage? if the deductible is lower than the repair costs, I would go with that.

new regular hoods even cost cheaper than to bang out a dent.

Could this be covered under your insurance policy? It may qualify as comprehensive... Then you'd only have to pay a deductible which (depending on your policy) may be cheaper than a new hood.

i think most deductibles are more then 400...as my experience shows, may be wrong though
