Re: FS: 2000 Ducati 748 ($5,500)

That is sweet! If I had $5,500 laying around and knew how to ride, I'd consider it.

If that Duc is anything like my 'priller the gas mileage is awful <25mpg and it takes premium. But the wife doesn't need to know that.

Re: FS: 2000 Ducati 748 ($5,500)

nice bike, but since it's the biposto, where are the passenger pegs???

748cc v-twin should get pretty good gas mileage...

from http://www.yoshimune.com/748/

"Worth mentioning, but certainly not a reason for buying a 748, is the pretty impressive gas mileage. If you're superslabbing it on a road trip, it'll actually turn in numbers above 50mpg. Of course, on the track, that number drops to the low 30's. But, if you do a mix of freeway and spirited twisties riding, you'll likely be pleasantly surprised at how little gas you burn. Like I said, just an interest item..."

based on this owner's experience, looks like it gets awesome gas mileage

I had a GSXR600 and it drank the high test fuel, so glad I sold that bike. Part of the problem with the bike I had was the sprockets were changed out for more low eng grunt so it turned a pretty high RPM at cruising speeds, factory tuning would have had much better fuel numbers but gas was alot cheaper then.

This bike gets relatively decent milage. I've never clocked it, but it won't be as good as a Japanese inline bike.

Buy me!
