The verdict is in,

Just got done completley ripping my engine apart, had a really loud banging noise!


Spun rod bearings 1 2 and 4, Ruined #1 crank journal, everything else suprisingley is in good shape, Im gonna finally be able to drop the goods in and get it back in the car, allthough 3 boxes that say cosworth on them do look good sitting in my room hahaha

maybe taking a right hand off/on ramp too fast?

Dont know the in depth about engines. what would cause you o spin rod bearings??

lack of lubrication from the oil (oil starvation), excessive engine rpm, long periods of high rpm operation that sort of thing. possible to starve the oil pump by cornering very hard as someone else already suggested. Good idea to install baffle plates in the oil pan if you do lots of hard cornering.

found the culprit, haha i cant belive I didnt see this sooner my number 1 lower compression ring and oil scraper ring were very brittle and when i tried taking them off unlike the other ones they cracked into a few pieces, they were not good, Also i found a piece of ring in the pump,


Total so far

3 rod bearings
2 rings
1 Oil pump, allthough it was working not gonna chance it, could have been un jammed later?

I just drove the car normally I havent really beat on it and dont take corners too fast......
