Hey all,

I know we've been having some "updating" problems with our units recently and I recently received notice that the dealer can flash the radio to fix it...here's my question:

I did not start paying for a subscription yet, and I was notified in Novemeber that the free trial period was going to expire soon and I needed to subscribe to continue to receive the service. Up to now, I am still getting Sirius...

I am wondering if the problem with our units is preventing Sirius from ending my service. If so, I certainly don't want to get it "fixed". Has anyone else gotten free service well beyond the promised 6 months? I am also wondering if they added some months due to the recent issues.

Nice try, but my guess is that when your time is up, your time is up. Service is linked to your receiver's ID number. When your trial is over, they'll cut service to that number. Whether or not the unit is active or updated should not make a difference. Sorry - time to decided how much you like Sirius. :(
