I ordered my stubby antenna right from this forum and the same night that I put it on I come back to my car from a club to notice that someone has stolen it. I was so pissed. I've been looking to steal one back and now I know why they stole mine: Nobody has them. THis is bullshit...I should steal like 20 of them so each time they steal mine again I just pull another one out of the glove compartment and put it right back on (LOL)...
I left it with no antenna because I hate the stock one.

Please share with me how long yours has lasted on your car. Thanks.

Places like clubs are places with a "high risk moron factor". Next tine, unscrew your antenna when you go to places like that. Just my $0.02. :wink:

Maybe you should apply some "white powder" to your next antenna.

Then, when someone removes the antenna, have your car play a recorded message.... "dude you got the poison man."

Has anyone ever seen the movie "The Jackal" with Bruce Willis? Some of that stuff that he sprayed on his Minivan would work well too. I think it was some form of VX - but it was a movie so who knows.

I've had mine for about 3 weeks but whenever I come back to my car when going to a mall I'm always surprised to see that it is still there.

Why are people so intent on taking stubby antennas? Aren't they common auto parts store items? Are people really THAT cheap that they can't just go buy one for themselves? They should just come in 10-packs or something. ha ha

Not really concerned about that right now. Most people around here don't even know what a Mazda 3 is, let alone Axela (to even have an urge to WANT to steal it). But I'm sure someday I might end up wishing I could have gotten the Axela badge in a 10-pack. :lol:

I dont see any stubby antenna at the autoparts or caraudio stores around here in AZ.
I have to take my shorty antenna off everytime because there are so many VW, Honda and Focus 'ricers' salivating at my MZ3. I know my car has been targeted for the antenna. Just hope they dont mess up my car.
Gonna get my Glock as my backup alarm, hahaha.

i think most, if not all are bought over ebay. that's where i got mine, and although, the reception is definately not as good, it's a great sacrifice for the look.

this is the one i got and it's lasted me since i got it about 2 months ago. (note to self...i hope nobody in newtown is reading this and is comtemplating stealing it )

Don't use locktite on the threads... My buddy did it to mine without telling me.... it was a suprise! Suprise alright... he put so much on that it went all over the plastic & rubber base and ate it away. Antenna fell off & I had to buy a new base. Just a FYI.

I'm afraid to get one of the stubbies cause I had an antenna ball a little while ago on my truck and some dickless piece of shit took it. I would have loved to have causght that fucker, I would have shoved the whole god damn ball down his throat along with my fist. I hate assholes that fuck with people's cars, it's just plain wrong.

Just curious though - how do you know the antenna ball didn't blow off in the wind? Myi dad had a soccer ball antenna ball thing on his Ford Tempo ... it just blew off on the highway one day. He was sad
