Anyone interested in a San Diego meet? I'm thinking we get a bunch of locals together, talk mods, go karting, eat some bbq, take a spin up Palomar, eat some pie. We could get GB pricing on some stuff, delivered at the meet without shipping costs. It would be a good time to get a group shot of San Diego 3'ers, and get to know each other.

Meeting Time: 7am. Ready to ride by 7:45, bring your own breakfast.

Meeting Location: Park and Ride Lot #33. It's by the Arco station on Deer Springs Road and the 15. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=0&msid=110040949536756014422.000456b9ff509c38187f5

over on MOCC there is a good group of SDers that have regular meets and like to plan bigger ones.

Re: GI: San Diego meet?

Does the GB idea sound good? A handoff instead of shipping charges can save a few bucks.

I'm not a regular on the MOCC forum, but I guess we could post over there too?

Re: GI: San Diego meet?

you would get a good amount of people from the MOCC forums. There are quite a few in SD. Just so you guys know, we are having a bar-b-q on May 3rd.

Re: GI: San Diego meet?

Either works for me. On a side note. The last Sunday on this month I'll be going on a 4 hour canyon run with my friend's Miata club. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to drive my 300zx or the Speed3. It's supposed to insane. Here's some details.

12th Annual 'The PUKE'

Start Time: 9:00 AM

Date: Sunday, March 29th

Time: 9:00 AM for breakfast, 10:00 AM for the run.

Meeting place: Dalton's Roadhouse, San Marcos - North of 78 on Nordahl

Description: This is "THE" driver's event: Many of our favorite roads, driven back-to-back in small groups (so we don't have to stop to re-group). We break into 5 or 6 groups and every other group to leave runs the course in a different direction (so you'll pass your friends somewhere along the route going the opposite way). There will be "brisk" groups and of course the Daffodil group for those who want to enjoy the scenery.

UPDATE: There is a rumor that there will be a new group of roadsters added to this year's Puke. Might be interesting. Stay tuned for more....

Past PUKE run instructions can be found here:

Re: GI: San Diego meet?

That looks awsome. I don't know what it looks like on the map, but its almost like the Dragon. Since its a Miata group, you should take the Speed3. Maybe you could lead when we do ours.

Re: GI: San Diego meet (4/18)?

Get in on the Puke run and tell us from first hand knowledge. I've done Palomar once, but not Couzer canyon. But from what I hear, its one of the good runs.
