Painted over chrome=chips...I know....

Easiest way to strip it?

use paint thinner on the spray paint, then soak the remaining chrome in bleach (you have to change out the bleach everyday because it loses its potency).

Easiest way, if you have a connection, is to sandblast them. however it must be done right or it could ruin the plastic. otherwise, i have heard bleach

i put mines in bleach, but it took like 5 days to fully strip off the chrome :|

I wasn't asking how to remove the chrome from the emblems. I was asking how to remove paint from a painted chrome emblem.....

Yeah... no way would I ever spend that much. Not to mention those chip as well.

I just painted over mine.

lacquer thinner will remove that paint, shouldnt damage the plastic but if your worried diluted it. if not paint thinner will do the job just as well but is not as strong.

easy off will take both the paint and chrome off if you wanted...

I say paint them to color match or a little darker so they stand out. I actually say paint them like a smoke grey

Noice! You could do like a two-tone, have the outter and upper parts SS and the insides black... Ill get a link
