Ive had one person who owns a Speed3 and another one tell they have no freakin clue how to take out the front seat on a
2007 Speed3 with Bose System.

If anyone knows how to remove the seat from that car, let me know.... I know there is that big black plastic piece that is in the front of the car, but not sure if that comes off or not... tried to take it off but it didnt budge.

I did have the power off when i attempted this cause i didnt want to possibly trigger the air bag.... Thanks for any suggestions.

Assuming it hasn't changed from the 05, which I have... basically there's four bolts on the four corners of the seat, bolting the seat to the floor. They're covered up by plastic covers which you have to pop off.

Then if I remember right, you have to unbolt one end of the seat belt, from where it attaches down beside the seat.

Remove the power... wait about 2 minutes... then disconnect the big electric connector on the underside of the seat... this disconnects the airbag sensor... then the seat lifts out.

Here's an online mazda3 manual if you haven't seen it before... go to Body & Accessories, Seats, Front Seat Removal/Installation

A better way to 'remove the power' would be to disconnect the negative battery terminal first and foremost. Next, push the brake pedal down for 5 seconds, and it will drain any remaining juice in the system.

This is important because the airbag impact sensors are mounted below the seats, and it's in your best interest to make sure they are totally 'dead' before removing the seat.
