I just emailed MazdaUSA regarding somethign about my Protege. Their automated response email said the Mazda3 is coming to dealers late November.

P.S. Have you checked out the all-new 2004 MAZDA3 yet? See it at
www.MAZDA3.com. Coming to dealers near you late-November 2003!

Sounds about right :)
Sounds good but lets hope late Nov. doesn't turn into late Dec. or mid Jan.
Other companies have 2004s coming out too. So, Mazda had better get them out quickly or else they'll lose some share of the market.

Toyota Echo HB 2004 is already out in Canada. My Toyota dealership is right across from the Mazda dealership too :p
My dealership said late Nov to early Dec.
Well we will just have to wait and see. Anybody want to make a bet on who gets the MZ3 first.
you meant between countries?
or forum members?
Singapore arrival

:) Just received e-mail from Mazda Singapore that the Mazda 3 arrival will be in January 2004. Can't wait!!
The sales person told me that the first shipment would be on Feb and that her manager has just gone to Japan to finalise the Specs.

I had a dream last night that I went to a dealer down by my dad's house and they had MZ3's. Then I woke up to a "Test the Best" Mazda commercial on the radio. I think it was just my psychic powers acting up again.

Serious question: the current Protege has a $2500 rebate. Do you think Mazda will offer similar rebates on the '04 MZ3 next fall, or is it only that high because the Protege is being replaced soon?
Here in Finland the official "release date" is in weekend 22. - 23.11. Then every dealer should be at least one 5door hatch what to show to customers :)

Usually it would be possible to get test drive week or two before that if you have some good contacts to local dealer.

I have received a printed copy of Mazda3 brochure couple of weeks ago from importer, but there actually nothing new information in it.

Sedan should came about one month later so probably it's here beginning of next year.

One interesting thing was that there is no constant speed controller available from Mazda, the controller which is available cames from some 3rd party manufacturer. Importer said, that maybe later Mazda provides it too, strange?

sorry aboot that haha im a new member =)...but yea im in OXNARD WOOO!!! hahaa 805 area code..
I doubt you will be seeing $2500 rebates anytime soon. And if you do, then that is bad news for Mazda as sales would have had to been very bad to need such a strong incentive on a new model.
I would look for a loyalty bonus. They offered it on the 6 in the amount of $1250.

I don't know how well my strategy is going to work, but when I go in to buy my 3, I'm gonna try to get one fully loaded for $19500. I'm gonna try to talk them down. I got approved for $19500 financing with Honda and I'm gonna take them the piece of paper and wave it front of them and tell them I am buying a car today, whether it be a Civic or a 3. If they want advertisement and word of mouth, it'd be a good idea to sell me the car b/c I will be driving the hell out of it. :)

Not sure if that is a good strategy for a newly released car, but we'll see. :)
Depends how quickly they get large numbers of htem in. If they just get a few at a time then that'll be tough.
Guess I'll have to drive to the new Birmingham delay. :)
