If anyone is wondering. I got my red led 7440's from http://superbrightleds.com/ and stuck them in my standard 06 S taillights (clear with amber lens on turn signal). The light shines nice and red all the way through. Its not even too bad during the day, definately able to see it. This is with the 15 led 7440's they sell and with the 6ohm resistors they have on their site. I think they are the same as the ones for sale in xenonexperts group buy but cheaper prices on all of it.

They should look even better once my OEM LED taillights arrive on monday. Hopefully my 3rd led brake light arrives soon from xenonexpert.

OOOh... that's pretty cool... post pics when you get em with the OEM LED tails... since the turn signals are clear... you should get something pretty neat.

I did the same thing with the red lense stock, and it's not nearly as bright as the stock bulbs, maybe with a clear lens it will look better
