Works great. Matches as good as stock. Same screw and everything. Cost about $7 from an acura dealer. Took them 2 days to get mine in. No one actually had it in stock.

I was going to get the CX7 antenna but damn if it wasn't 2x the price.

You've been running nothing but your mouth for a couple years.

Kidding. I am gonna buy this tomorrow or something.

Price was what got me to choose the RDX over the CX-7 mast. I got it for less than $6 from Honda's own online parts store (http://estore.honda.com); just order it online and have it shipped for free to your nearest Acura dealer (prices may vary according to the dealer).

Stock vs. RDX mast:

Close-up of RDX mast; fits flush with the base:

Doing the signal strength check on the radio, I get about 1-2 (closer to 1) drop in strength compared to stock (like a 7-8 signal strength vs. 8-9). All the stations I listen to come in just as well using the new stubby.

At the time I got the RDX antenna, the CX-7 antennas were backordered at least 2 weeks. I ordered mine through the Honda e-store and it was ready for pickup the next day.

$6 doesn't sound like much, but when you consider that that's 50% cheaper than the CX-7 antenna, then it sounds more significant.

Morrisontheway, maybe you can put your original MZ3 antenna on her RDX? :p

:?

not really, i don't even have an acura dealer in my town. how would i have gotten one? it isn't like i'm tearing my eyes out over the whole six bucks issue.

btw, looks like the cx-7 antenna is smaller than the rdx as well.
