I'm definitely going to be buying some rally armor mudflaps...but I'm not sure which ones. I just want to know if the UR are really worth $80 more than the basic? Anyone have any positive or negative experiences with either material that they can share to help make my decision easier?

PS I'm looking to order within a couple days

i was the test car that rally armor used to test fit for the ms3. I had both the basic and the UR's, the one that i recommend is deff the ur. The material is much nicer, the brackets are the same for both models but the ur material is very nice.

i just ordered the basic with the red vinyls...

I'm torn because I don't want to end up replacing them down the line if I go basics and they don't hold up. Better safe than sorry. I'll probably spring for the UR's :)

I love IAG but those mud flaps are too much money. Go to autozone and buy the universals for 15. They look fine and are reasonably priced. The Rally armor flaps draw attention to the mudflaps. They should blend in not stick out.

I have the UR Rally Armor flaps and could not be happier. Absolutely in love with them:

They stick out too much IMO and look like they belong on a 18 wheeler. Get a black plastic garbage can cut out the proper size and clear coat it and you will get the same result.

It might just be me but I don't really like the idea of putting a sub $10 mud guard on a car that cost 24k. It just doesn't feel right to me (personal opinion and maybe a bit of OCD).

Having come from the other side of the spectrum (I spent $15.00 making my own mudflaps for my previous sedan) I can say with utmost confidence that I vastly prefer the Rally Armor ones. $130.00 is a small price to pay for no rock chips/salt/dirt/etc. on my doors and rear bumper. :) And IMO, they look great---much better than the ones I made previously.

Confirmation of my thoughts feels good...thanks. I'm driving black mica and the only question that is still lingering is which color logo to buy? I'm torn between the red and grey labels...decisions decisions :tense:

But it can only turn out well :koolaid:
