screw rain-x man, just wax your windshield. Works just as good, I guarantee you. water beads up and flys off while your driving. I just waxed my windshield, moonroof and the rear windshield with some Meguiar's wax. However I did just purchase some rain-x wiper blades. Heard they were the best (for the money). cant wait to test them out. Although I probably won't need them now. hahaha.
Rain-X poll
I just finished washing my car and was wondering if people apply Rain-X to all windows, instead of the windshield only. I decided to put it on the backglass too this time, I wonder how much of a difference it'll make.

Seriously... stay away from it, use aquapel if anything. I love it.
I Rain-X'd all of my windows--front, back, and side. I'm definitely happy with the result. Even though the water doesn't stream off the other windows as much as it does on the windshield, it still beads instead of running down or condensing, or whatever. It definitely improves visibility, in my opinion, because the beading and wicking overall creates less water on the windows. So I definitely recommend it.
Also, just my advice, buy the cheapest Rain-X--the type that just comes in that little bottle that you drip onto a cloth. In my opinion, you'll use a lot less with that than you would with the spray bottles and other gimmicks. My small bottle of Rain-X only cost a couple bucks, and after doing all my windows I barely used any. Probably have several more applications worth of liquid in there. Well worth the money.

ive just never had a good experience with rain-x, the first time i tried aquapel i fell in love.
I love the bottled rain-x, like mentioned its cheap and takes minutes to apply. Its always worked for me.

I apply Rain-X to all exterior windows, it's almost a necessity in my climate.
My only gripe that it doesn't last very long. It seems like I need to re-apply it after about two good rainstorms.

I use the liquid armor all wax, i hit my windows everytime im waxing my car, and I have to say it works great, for about 3 weeks I usually don't even need to use my wipers while its raining haha

spray on rain-x. and i do them all
I used to use Rain-X but after I started using Eagle One's Wax As-U-Dry while drying the car after a wash, I find it works just fine and actually beads and allows the water to roll off better than the Rain-X. The Wax As-U-Dry is really easy to apply and lasts a lot longer than the Rain-X too. Just spray a little on each body panel and window while the car is still wet and towel off the whole car.
Use Aquapel!
By the way, be careful using wax on your windshield. The oils in a wax don't play well with windshield wipers. Instead use a synthetic sealant. Sealants work great on glass.

for the people who use wax (not rain x) on their windshields, have any of you noticed an increase in any glare from oncoming headlights????
I have the 2 in 1 rain-x/glass cleaner its easiest to apply but lasts the shortest amount of time.

Also got Rain-x Fluid/wipers.
I tried invisible glass on drivers window to clean off a hand print and it just beaded up and smeared-assumed it was treated and tired the 2-1 rain-x and it cleared it all right up.
I'm a pretty anal about spotless glass so I end up cleaning windows often anyways don't mind keeping them treated.

Rainx fking rocks, amazing stuff. Unforunately the speed3 that i bought has a windshield that is extremely chipped (like it was sandblasted almost) and rainx isnt nearly as effective as it was on my old 04 mz3
