purchased mine two weeks ago (Vancouver,Canada) first of
all- wait SUCKS! told 8 weeks two weeks ago- still told 8 weeks
TODAY! (told "factory order") but my main question is that I
bought GT model without GFX package and salesman told me
it will have sport grille- but mazda website DOES NOT say
this and neither does anywhere else I look? They don't seem
to know the right answer since I've questioned other salesmen
and still get different answers? I bought the sedan by the way.
is there also anyone else here on same long wait list? I'd love
to keep in touch- no one else understands my pain..... mazda
told me this is the HARDEST one to get because you get so
much more than the top GS for only $400 (I almost bought
that one until I sat and compared difference!)

put the sports grill in your contract, and no matter what who says, you'll definately have it, if not, they'll be breaching the contract.

A friend of mine ordered a car the same time as me (end of december), my car is GT w/ GFX, hers is GT w/out GFX. I got mine within one month and she's expecting to get hers this week. So, that's about 8 weeks wait.

In Canada when you buy the Sport GT you get it automatically, I'm sure even for the sedan GT you'll get it too. The GFX package I think was more intended for those 3i owners that wanted to spruce up the appearance and didn't want all the other options. At least IMO.

But as bastard said, just get the salesguy to put it in writing somewhere on the contract or what not and you'll be fine, either way if it doesn't show up with one the dealer will have to provide one.

U're right, the website doesn't say it and as far as i kno, GT sedan without the GFX package really doesn't give u that horizontal line sports grille.

But u'll still get the clear taillight lens
