PRM Racing Intake....new intake on the market for the Mazda3

Just purchased this intake for my 06 Mazda3 GT

basically its a combo of a short ram intake and cold air intake into one...

dont have an install pics of it yet, cause I am getting the pipe powerder coated a custom color....

best part i see about this intake, is that seeing that filter is enclosed in a case and in a position where no water can get in, so eliminates any worry of CEL or hydro lock....

here are some dyno sheets from a toronto based mazda form, in which lead me to this intake:

and a pic of it installed on a Mazda3, its from the PRM Site...

thought i would point this out to everyone who is the market for an intake or tired having those CEL's on rainy days but wish to have the performance of a CAI

thanks for reading and when my intake comes back, i can show a pic of my purchase and install on my car...

long over due pics but here is my PRM intake custom powder black, now mounted on my car in a dirty engine bay LOL

remember as with any expensive part, price gets better when there is group buy, thats how I found about this intake in the first place, great to have no worries about CEL or water causing hydro lock

It doesn't move once the clamps are tight. I thought the same but it's not an issue.

im sorry but this thing is ugly! just spend the cash on an f2...i love ma f5 though
well this is a good alternative for ppl who are worried about hydrolocking.

I have the F5 right now and from what i read on the boards, you'd have to drive into a lake to hydrolock....well it happened to me a few months ago. One of the major city street sewer was backed up and it started to collect water where there was a dip in the road. Snow was melting and it was raining also.

It was dark and late at night and i ended up driving thru a puddle about 1 ft deep (as did many other cars). But because of the location of my CAI, my engine was poooped.

I'm thinking of switching my F5 for this.
That thing gotta be a power retrictor, there no way there enough filter mass to allow for all the air a car needs under WOT or even crusing.
