PRM Racing Intake....new intake on the market for the Mazda3

Just purchased this intake for my 06 Mazda3 GT

basically its a combo of a short ram intake and cold air intake into one...

dont have an install pics of it yet, cause I am getting the pipe powerder coated a custom color....

best part i see about this intake, is that seeing that filter is enclosed in a case and in a position where no water can get in, so eliminates any worry of CEL or hydro lock....

here are some dyno sheets from a toronto based mazda form, in which lead me to this intake:

and a pic of it installed on a Mazda3, its from the PRM Site...

thought i would point this out to everyone who is the market for an intake or tired having those CEL's on rainy days but wish to have the performance of a CAI

thanks for reading and when my intake comes back, i can show a pic of my purchase and install on my car...

no I am not paying much.....just that the place I took it too, had a lot of projects...but will try to rush it for me....

but how i see the intake and how a Cai is, point is to get in a sense cold air into the motor by having the filter in a lower position....

when it comes to the Mazda3, when you think about where the air filter is located, the filter is actually in an encolser as well, meaning the filter is surrounded by the bumper & fender liner...

if i remember right, the Mazdaspeed intake for the Mazda3 has an encloser/shield, which may work but still a chance for the filter to get wet and again causing a CEL

the advantage is see with this, that the PRM has an Full encloser for the filter for that CAI effect but minus having to worry about water getting the filter wet causing a CEL...

where is the heat really comming from in the motor of the Mazda3???? the header is at the back of the motor...

long over due pics but here is my PRM intake custom powder black, now mounted on my car in a dirty engine bay LOL

remember as with any expensive part, price gets better when there is group buy, thats how I found about this intake in the first place, great to have no worries about CEL or water causing hydro lock
