My wheel paint came today, but it will be a month or 2 before the weather allows me to do it. So I plan to use that aircraft paint stripper to rid of the stock paint. From what I gather, I should use self etching primer, THEN primer, THEN apply the paint?

For aluminum wheels I`d go with zinc or silver chromate primer for adhesion and corrosion protection. Follow up with a coat of neutral coloured primer-sealer to keep the green, yellow or turquoise from bleeding through, then apply the colour coat(s) as appropriate.
