I know this topic has been discussed a fair bit, but was wondering if anyone here in AUS has done it. If so what what was the outcome and how much does it cost?

Why would you want too ?

Theyre called alloy wheels but they definately arent like the allows on my work supplied 626. Not bare metal at all, they look like theyve been powder coated or similar already.

I want to because my car is black and I thought powder coating them to a black gunmetal colour would look cool on the car. I have heard this (powdercoating) is not too expensive and much cheaper than getting a new set of rims which I can't afford anyway.

I said this in another thread, I think Black wheels looks cheap...they remind me of steel wheels that need hubcaps.

how about a nice champagne colour? maybe a bit like the sparkling silver Mz3 colour.

Vormund, I tend to agree with you. Black/gun metal looks crap!!!!

But thats just my opinion.

Not sure about the champagne Vormund...can't really picture it actually.

Just trying to think of a way to personalise my 3 without disrupting the sleep style it already has - now that I think of it, the black gun metal would look too rice....

Any other ideas guys?

personally I can't see past a couple of kanga paws dangling from the mirror combines well with the sheepskin seat covers and the steering wheel protector to keep the leather clean and my crowning glory the bad boys sticker on the back windscreen 8)

I've got the louvres on back order to keep the sun off the back window and creat additional downforce.
