After searching over 10 sites, the cheapest price I could come across was about $245 shipped.

Anyone know of any special deals or websites offering a cheaper price? PM me with info or a post here would be greatly appreciated.

Also, fitment for this CAI on a 2.0 is possible but a struggle, correct?

if an intake fits the 2.0 it fits the 2.3 and vice versa. (with the exception of the 2.3 turbo)

btw, the mazdaspeed intake is pretty much exactly the same as the AEM as far as I know.

EDIT: just realized that that mazdaspeed intake is for the speed3. so sorry, won't fit. :dur:

That's about what I paid for mine. I think it was actually $237 shipped.

I hear you, I'm a penny pincher too.

From my understanding, that intake in the link only fits the MS3.

In today's economy, don't be afraid to pick up the phone and call retailers to ask for a better price. I've done it before and gotten a discount. Just let them know you want their best price on item ____ shipped. You may be surprised on what they do. Most every retailer is hurting.

the mazdaspeed intake was being sold by someone who has a speed3, therefore it must be a mazdaspeed intake for a speed3.

the maf sensors are different for the N/A and turbo 3's, so no, they are not interchangeable. and that CP-E intake looks like its for the speed3 too. lol Just buy an F5. Got mine for 175 shipped from ptuning.com

or theres someone selling their F2 cai for like 180.

Nick, I went with the AEM for it's balance of low and high power. From what Drew says, you do all of your driving in the top end so don't feel like you have to stick with the AEM (although I really like mine).

Mazdaspeed sells one for the GT sedan as well I have it. I think its made by AEM anyways

+1 and it will fit both the 2.3 and 2.0. (it will NOT fit the Mazdaspeed3) - although they do make one that will. lol

the 2008 is the same as all the other years. so everything should, except for stuff designed for the MS3
