This just started happening.
my stupid panic alarm goes off when I open the door.

here is what I do:
1) click unlock once on my remote
2) lights blink once and quick blink again
3) when I open the door, the panic alarm goes off.
4) when I close the door, the lights flick once and car is locked.

seems something is stuck!!!!

Happened three times and I disconnected the battery for 10-15 mins.
re-connected an it happened again.

any ideas ?

help!

No alarm mods etc installed.

thanks

Sounds like the keyless remote is sending the signal to lock the car back up right after you unlock it.

On most it takes about 20 seconds for it to relock unless you get in, so it must be the signal.

Not sure how to fix it, maybe make sure your lock button is not stuck.

Just a thought.

I thought of that too earlier this evening...I am going to try the other remote tomorrow during the day.
Did not want to try it around dinner time and be loud in the neighborhood.

and new development....freak of nature.
Now the alarm works fine...except, the lights don't come on when I open/lock the car.

My car was doing this as well as constantly locking the locks while driving on certain days. I thought it was the remote so I removed the batteries and still same issue. I brought it to the dealer and of course it did not do it in front of them. I had them reflash it anyway and since then, no issue. No idea if this fixed it or I just lucked out.
