Trabuco Canyon has a good run. It's short but it's going for footage because Ortega is kinda long ya know.

For the few times I've gone I've seen one cop but I wasn't sure what it was doing ya know...Just take it easy and you'll be fine.

+1

this road is pretty fast and has enough trees and bushes to make it look like you a hauling a$$ on camera. i should be up in lake forest this weekend sometime, hopefully i will have finished breaking in my new engine by then :D
(car has 17800, engine has 58.......)
ortega is closed... my buddy and i have been trying to ride it for the past 2 weeks... been closed every time we went.. so hit up cooks corner.. but its soo short... if you want to good touge go out more inland... but a lot of them are filled with cops now for example, azusa, turnbull, malibu, etc.etc.... but ortega isn't very active kuz everyone finds it too easy... and it kinda is.. but yeah they closed it for construction ...sux~
If you want to head up a little bit, malibu has some awesome roads that rarely, if ever, have cops on. Check out Muholland from Las Virgines Rd to Kanan Rd. Then from there you can continue on Muholland to Decker Cyn. Then GENTLY drive decker to PCH where you can head north and do dear creak rd (past neptunes net).
i just looked at a map of that run and i think i need to change my underwear..... that looks freakin sick!
^^^O...it is :)

But it it amazing how nice the 3 handles it. It stuck the road really well.

Its actually a really great ride. Not really that insane of a drive. The dear creak part is, but muholland is just windy and very tight.
is there a lot of elevation change? cuz that would be insaine!
A lot? hmm....well from las virgines to kanan is is 50% flat and 50% really curvy, tight, and going up. Then Kanan to Decker it is flatish. Then Dear creek is insane. Its up to start with, then flatish, then down, but all the while really curvy.

Dear creek run takes about 20mins at night (it does go through some remote housing areas tho so do late at night). Muholland takes about 10-15 mins to kanan and and 10-15 to decker.

There are a lot of amazing roads up in this malibu santa monica mountain range area. I have some more great drives me and some friends have done. I will try to get the exact runs and let you all know. Another is the 2 in the mountains near glendale or somewhere, but cant remember the exact route.
