It took me a few months to hunt down a spare Rota P45f to make a complete set. The only problem was that finding a Royal Bronze with polished lip seemed to be impossible so I had to settle for a solid gold version. Since I decided to keep the set as another track set, I didn't want the mismatch look.

First, I stripped the paint with Klean-strip Aircraft cleaner. This stuff works wonders so long as you have patience and you hate sand-blasting. Once the paint was removed, I gave the metal surface a good roughing up with 400 grit sandpaper. At first, I had no clue what color I wanted to paint them so I only purhcased 4 cans of self-etching primer and I figured I could have another week to pick a color. However, once I sprayed them in this olive color, I really liked it. Now I've decided to keep them in this color :D My RE01R's have not arrived yet but when they do, I'm going to mount them and test fit them on the car....I'll be sure to snap a picture or 2 for those that are curious.

Eat your heart out time attack fad ;)

Thanks Wheeldude.com for having this difficult-to-find wheel....even if it did take a couple of months

What if I paint one of my set of RPF1s that color...

No harm, no foul :)

Pictures of them on the car are still a good week off given that Tire Rack is not set to deliver my tires until the 6th or so.

Poor quality and an abnormal amount of wheel gap...I know. I had just let it down off the rack and none of the suspension had resettled. However, you get the idea :)

Thinking about spraying MPS23 in military style font on one of the spokes (small, of course)
