Short and skinny (the way i read it) it more or less says Muslims aren’t welcome in Germany unless they convert to being "German".

Personally I agree 100% on the language issue but in "politically correct" America we aren’t allowed to openly talk about it!!!! Let alone "Publicize it"!!!

You should learn the native language of any country you live in. If I moved to china or France or Russia etc. I would learn the language?

Also the Turkish minister is agreeing!!!!!!

sorry off the soap box!!!

Thank you for sharing, im gonna show this to my husband later he will like this as he is from Turkey.

His family came to America, learned the language and escaped their country because they were Christian, he is one of the few people I know that have faced the muslim culture first hand and he is scared for this country and what may come of it if we do not put down some stricter laws or slow down the process from which this country is currently being put thru. The Germans are right to this and I hope we can learn to adopt their ways when it comes to having muslims in our country.

We really don't have the same problem with Muslim immigration as Germany does. There they wall themselves off and feed off of the welfare state. By and large Muslims in the U.S. are self supporting and reasonably well integrated with the rest of society.

Not saying that we don't have similar problems with other immigrants, but we can't single out Muslims in this nation.

I meant to add immigration as a whole in this country as well but the growth in muslims in this country recently and that fact that our country is so open to accept it has been a major issue for me lately.

+1.

German Furor said:
We feel tied to Christian values. Those who don't accept them don't have a place here
Sounds a lot like the preaching from Saudi and other similar Arab countries that so many in the West are inclined to hate because of their extreme right wing practices. Talk about hypocrisy.

hell we have enough of our own "Citizens" sucking of the tit of socialism and the welfare state.
Baby mamma's with their $600 a month food stamp cards and section 8 housing. But we won't open up that pandora's box.

Non citizens/illegals don't get that here if I am not mistaken? I am also all for immigration if its done correctly!! Apply for a visa, get a job, apply for citizenship and get your green card then final papers. Its a difficult process but still if I moved to another country for good. I would apply for citizenship the correct way.

Also learn the language!!!!!

I personally always thought if you wanted to live here you should perhaps be enrolled into the army, work to become a citizen, enroll for about 3 years, learn the language earn the money you make instead of the tax payers carrying your ass and make something for yourself and your family.

Basically, Germany (and several other European countries) is coming to grips with the fact that their welfare state is unsustainable and too liberal (meaning it applies to too many people). Unfortunately, instead of responsible reform, they lurch far to the right and start finding scapegoats. I promise you that Merkel doesn't actually believe half of what she says, but without saying it her party is going down (even more than they have in the last two elections).

Call our fringe Democrats and Republicans what you will, but they're nothing compared to the fringe parties that are slowly rising in Europe. Every once and a while, they make our politicians/political system look genius.

[/quote]Sounds like the Turkish husband is wearing off on you. Did he do his enlistment before he left Turkey? Not to get too off-topic, but where in Turkey is he from? Damn I love that country.

Ok, being from Canada where anyone and their damn monkey can come here and be protected even if they are Tamil Tigers... whoops did I say that? I agree with this.... somewhat.

I have no problem if you come to another country, be it USA, "USA's Hat", Germany, Australia etc. if you want to become an integrated member of society. Get a job, PAY FUCKING TAXES like the rest of us have to and pull your own load. if you come to a new country and expect to have a silver spoon handed to you, leech the welfare system and not become a productive member of society, get out. You're not welcome here. /rant.

I'm fairly sure the argument here is that they don't want Muslims in their country and theyre using language, welfare, taxes, etc as excuses.

I work with muslims everyday, in a fuckin insurance company of all places. almost everybody here hates the work and I haven't been suicide bombed or severely impacted by their STRANGE WAYS.

as far as I see it, Christians are gettin bitchy because there's a bigger bully in town. start the crusades back up, it's killin time.

lol my words not his trust me

No he didnt enlist and he knows the moment he goes back even on visit they will make him go into the army. I guess there is a way to pay money to the government and only go thru 3 months of training and he will be good for the rest of his life, but im not sure how all that works. I want to visit it one day but its not worth the risk of them taking him either

Learn the language, yes. Adopt the customs, values and beliefs, I don't. Or I should say I feel like you should learn what they are and respect the local customs, values and beliefs, but I don't believe you need to hold them as your own.

Looking at Europe I think it is almost laughable. For example Greece where they have done a dandy job on things. Sure I can see everyone being pissed at the gov't and the fine job they've done, but then when the gov't tries to fix things, they riot like crazy.

In France the gov't realizes they can't fund their welfare state and need to adopt more stringent measures, so they increase their retirement age from 60 to sixty friggen two. Welcome to 40 years ago France. Guess what happens? National strikes for weeks in protest. I am very sorry that you might have to work for 5 years less than most in the US (where in a few years the retirement age will finally be phased in to 67) and 3 years less than most other places. Don't worry, enshrine your gov't given rights even though y'all are living more than a decade longer than when you originally implemented your social security system. I am sure your economy will improve so much more with the crushing pension and social security system you have.

Eh, I have no problem with anyone coming to America as long as they do the following:

1.) Pass a background check, any questionable ties = no entry. This includes a physical, I don't want any lice infested HIV having fleabag living next door to me, nor someone introducing the plague.
2.) Speak fucking english. This is America, we speak english here. If you can't speak english, keep your happy butt in Mexiurdakistan.
3.) Get a fucking job that's able to support you and whatever family you may have. If you expect to come into our country to live off our welfare program, or be helped by it, try again. Stay back in whatever oppressed land you came from. We have too many people in this country already mooching off us. Hell, most of them were born here too.
