Oil leak on a Mazda 3 2009

Coming from passenger side rear - not a huge amount about 20 - 30 ml overnight.....

Any suggestions as to what could be wrong and how urgent it would need to be fixed - I.E stop driving immediately ?

Likely the valve cover gasket. Change is ASAP. Oil leaks can damage rubber belts and hoses, and in a worst case scenario can cause a fire.

By far the hardest part of changing the valve cover gasket is removing the wire clips. I truly believe they were designed by Lucifer himself.

The best way I found to remove them is with a small pair of hemostats shoved down to separate the arms of the clips from the studs. You'll see exactly what I'm talking about when you get in there.

Other than those wire clips, it is a very, very easy job. 1/5 on the difficulty scale.
