Ok... Just like the MSRP list I think this would be helpful when getting insurance quotes from agents.

Insurance companies that SPECIFICALLY have the MAZDASPEED3 on their system:
(not the MAZDASPEED, not the MAZDA3 S)

Geico? Where? I have Geico and they don't have the SPEED3 separately listed. Heck! They don't even have the SPEED6
hmm...they gave me a quote...said it was in the system...that was a month ago...eh maybe i was lied to?

They say they have it but why isn't in on their website? They only have MAZDASPEED.
Now, wouldn't the MS3 suit better under the MAZDASPEED model instead of the MAZDA MAZDA 3 S...?
of course not!

that means everyone can sign up with geico and get their mazdaspeed3 insured for the price of a base mazda3 hatch!

GIECO has it in their system. Its been there for a while now. both Speed3 and Speed6.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get this information from?
I'm looking at the drop-down menu and the 2007 Mazdaspeed 6 nor the 3 are there. I can find the MAZDASPEED MIATA and the CX7 inclusive.
Can anybody do a print screen? I'm in the office and can't do that :(
I always call my insurance companys when im making a policy...so dont deal with the drop down menus.
President Palmer's company....er...Allstate has it on their drop downs.

try insweb.com its listed as speed3
State Farm did not, last time I checked, have the MS3 in their system. However, I told them what it was and how much it cost, and they gave me a very competitive quote. My insurance card specifies it as a ‘Mazda Speed 3.’

You got me thinking now. My policy shows an ANTI-THEFT discount for the Mazda. I didn't even need to specify what trim so I guess.... WAIT A SEC......... EDIT.... Never mind.

before making the final decision to purchase the speed3 i contacted my state farm insurance agent to check on the rates. i wanted to be sure that going from my '05 mazda3 hb to the '07 speed3 wouldn't cost me a ridiculous amount in insurance.

he said that the speed3 was not specifically listed. but he asked for the msrp, and said that they could just base the rate on the msrp of the vehicle. he also noted that the '07 mazda3's were getting a 'better' rate than my '05 mazda3 was, apparently due to better safety rating on the '07's. initially my agent said, 'wow, it looks like your rate will be going DOWN'. i cautiously tried to ask him to verify the rate noting that the speed3 is, in fact, turbocharged and has 'more' horsepower than the regular mazda3 . again, he said that it will be based on the value of the msrp.

i figured there was NO WAY that my rates would actually go down, and once i got the new policy adjustment, the rate had gone up, but by a minimal amount... like $3 a month

oh, and my insurance card specifies it as 'mazda 3'.

allstate is great, not only does it specify that my car is a speed3, but it also clearly states that its a turbo hatch and the premium was lower than my toyota N/A hatch by almost 100 over 6 months. go figure :D

I think it's the fact that it's got an alarm, it's reinforced, comes with side airbags, traction control, and stability control make it a MUCH SAFER car than any other Mazdas. These discounts then counteract the increase due to the fact that it's got a shit load of power.
on GIECO, under Vehicles. That is if you have your policy through GIECO.

2007 MAZDA MAZDASPEED

but you''re correct. if you try to get a quote from their online process, the MAzdaSpeed 3 is not listed.
that said, I am sure if you call them, it should all work out. Because that is how it went down with me.
Progressive has
Mazda3 4dr
Mazda3 5dr
