How much should I expect to pay for the part directly from MAzda? The single disc OEM radio non-MP3 I have did not play any disc at all.

I priced it out some time ago, and for me the answer was way too much. Something like $300 for a part that couldn't cost more than $20 to make.

I also saw some posts that some brands of CD blank disks get stuck because the thickness is different than what the changer was design to handle.

Finally, even with six disks, you are going to get bored with the selection.

It was some ridiculous amount like $450 for the OEM 6 CD with mp3. I have a Pioneer DEH-P880PRS HU with ipod control and a 6-disc changer mounted in the glove box. The HU plays CDs and mp3 files, auto EQ and time alignment, 16 band EQ, etc etc.

Only upside with the OEM 6 disc is to keep the control on the steering wheel ... if I had choice I put an good aftermarket Mp3 player. I agree that 450$ is a steal from the dealer.

when i bought my car, a few weeks ago, the LCD screen on the headunit was cracked and the dealer(not a mazda dealer) replaced it for me. he said it cost $325 to fix. theyre like 100 bucks on ebay though
