It's been incredibly cold here in the DC area with tons of ice. Has anyone encountered the following:

-When downshifting with the AT, below 2,000 rpm, and rumbling noise, almost like a truck?
-Rumbling and groaning when in park after immediate start up?

I had the oil changed at 6,000 miles and I'm now at 10,000. I doubt it's the tranny fluid since they're supposed to check that.

Not sure if all this is "normal" because of the cold and ice, but thought I'd check. Once people weigh in, I'll give you my theory.

Thanks.

I would bring it to the dealer, its definitely not normal. We've got -20C here in Toronto and my car behaves the same as in above 0 temps. Of courese it is a little bit sluggish when its not warmed up, but no wierd noises coming from it.
