Hello Axela! First post :klavergreg:

I bought an 06 S last year and I am just getting around to making it look good. I'd like to start off with a total bulb conversion for the front i.e. lows, highs, fogs, turns, sides. I have a few questions though:

1. Did the 06 S come with HID's/Xenon's? If not, can I get the Xenon Proleum Kit or is it not compatible?
2. What is DDE?
3. Can I replace my turn signal bulbs with a clear color and have it blink white? (street legal?)
4. Can I replace my side marker bulbs to a clear color and have it blink white? (street legal?)
5. Do I get sealed beam replacements for the fogs or is it H4? (same thing?)
6. What other lighting faux pas should I be aware of?

Sorry to be such a noob but Im very excited to get new stuff for my 3!

I do not think blinking white is legal at all. it is suposed to be amber up front and red or amber in rear.

not true... i'm not entirely certain for the sidemarkers... but the front turn signals can be either white or amber (in quebec law and as i understand most other places too, it says so straight up)

1. the GT came with xenon... if you have that little knob that you can use to adjust the height of your headlight, you have em (the knob is on the left, next to the illumination one). If you don't have it, the kit is compatible.
2. Daylight Devil Eyes... they are halos of light placed around the headlights
3. front... yea
4. Sides, not sure
5.no idea
6.If you hit your headlights with a baseball bat they will brake... don't do that!

You can have clear lenses but when lit they must be amber. No idea what the law is in Canada though. All the others were answered correctly.

ok my bad... in quebec they are legal, and since we have ridiculous laws about everything else, i thought it was everywhere

What should I replace my factory fog lights with?

Oh didn't see that. The 04-06 uses H11 bulbs for the fogs.

Wrong, you shouldn't generalize without researching. In California, front turn signals can flash either white or amber. Rear must flash red or amber.

24953.  (a) Any turn signal system used to give a signal of intention to turn right or left shall project a flashing white or amber light visible to the front and a flashing red or amber light visible to the rear.
(b) Side-mounted turn signal lamps projecting a flashing amber light to either side may be used to supplement the front and rear turn signals. Side-mounted turn signal lamps mounted to the rear of the center of the vehicle may project a flashing red light no part of which shall be visible from the front.

Ok i'm from MA, can i put white turn signals in the back? how about front?

I believe every state has their own laws
