Got my new Velocity Red Mazda 3 GT with Moonroof sedan yesterday morning..

I will miss being able to abuse the crap out of a car, and not caring about any damage.... But it is also nice now having pride in my car heh

Pictures of my heap o' junk car (92 Camry) I was rear ended a while ago, and my exhaust pipe is now severely bent causing my muffler to be pushed up by 8 inches or so. My trailer hitch saved alot of damage on my car, but did a lot of destruction on the other persons

Cracked front bumper that is basically only being held together by screws. Not sure how this happened, but I believe someone must have backed up into me pretty hard in a parking lot, because I was also missing my front plate and had to get it replaced.

Rusted wheel wells, peeling paint, and missing gas cover (The gas cable broke and I was at a gas pump with gas light on for last 60KM, since I didn't care, I decided to just elbow it until it broke so I could fill it up.

Enough of the old car...

Frosty this morning..

For some reason the smile seems obvious in this picture, but my friend came with me who had no idea what this car looked like, and he went around it and didn't even notice it as a smile/face

Picture of the Key, a little bigger (and twice as thick) as a usb key.
Yes this is a switchblade key

Zoom Zoom

Hate Gravel...

If there are any other pictures or angles you would like to see of the new car let me know.
This car is just so fun to drive.

I do believe you might be the first person here with an 10. Be sure to take a lot of photos (inside and out), since folks will want to see!

Please also put your location in your profile. :)
I do believe this is the first member with a new 3. I am not a huge fan of the new style... but congratulations! I didn't know these were even available for sale yet. It is a definite upgrade from your last ride. :goodjob:

Be sure to add your location to your profile (although I can see where you are from due to the keychain picture.. ehehe).
congrats on the new mz3! let us know how it works out for you because you are the first one with the 2010 on this forum.
Thanks,
Sorry I live near Waterloo Ontario, about 1.5 hours away from Toronto.
I can't really compare this to the 2009 since I never drove it, but I must say, this is a much nicer ride compared to my old station wagon heh.

The 2010 were available in Canada for a couple weeks, but I believe the official launch was last week.

I have never drove a standard before, so I am learning for my first time (the clutch in this car is going to hate me... ). I don't notice too much of a difference between 5th gear and 6th gear. The RPM drops maybe by about 300 or so, and fuel economy from the readout doesn't drop much either... At this point I believe the 6th gear is more of a gimmick, but experience and time will tell.

I am not the greatest at picture taking, but I will go take some more photos.. Will post them in an hour or 2.
Congrats! That is pretty sweet, enjoy being one of the first people to ever own a 2010!
There is a member in Mexico who bought a 2010 3 a few weeks ago. http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=135813.0 This is the 2nd (that I've seen) 2010 3 on the forum.

Regardless, congratulations on the new car!
congrats on the '10 3. i kind of like it a lot in red....... :)
Congrats on the new car, it looks great! I wonder if you can answer a question for me. I'd like to know if it's possible to rest your left arm elbow/forearm on the armrest on the door, and still be able to grab the steering wheel comfortably. I'm left handed, and I can do this in my current Civic. I test drove an Accord and the armrest was too low to do it. Maybe a strange question, but I'd really appreciate it if you had time to check it out. The new Mazda's aren't due here for an other week or so and the nearest dealership to me is about 45 minutes away. Thanks!
Very nice, congrats. I don't suppose you'd be willing to post some
pics of your engine bay? I assume you have the 2.5L.
^^ sarge, yes (imo, i hook a thumb), and the telescoping/tilt wheel helps too.

m_k, congrats and the new ride. quite a difference, lol. :goodjob:
Any pics of how the headlight tails light up. There are those weird chevron things medial of the projectors in the headlights that I'm curious if they do anything.

Added a pic in OP it is hard to see though in the daylight. I will try to remember to take another picture tonight.
I believe the silver part contains the motor to do the manual/auto leveling (I only have manual)
I was driving last night, and these HID headlights are amazing, now I have never used HID before, but you can see so damn far and a huge spread.

Great to know, thanks!
Very nice! One of the first 2010 models on the forums... and it looks great. Welcome :)

Congrats!

I'm itching to trade in my car (or in this case, sell it to pay off the loan) but I kind of like having a car that's worth more than the loan I'm paying.

(plus, if the first gen '3 progressed like it did, then I'll hold out until later iterations come out)
