OK, I just got the TWM SS, and I am trying to get the old one out. I have the whole console off, but the only trouble I am having is prying off the shift cables off the ball joints. Is there any trick to this, I was trying like the walkthrough says with a flat head screwdriver, but i was just messing up the plastic on the shift cable. I want to try to get this in tonight, so please if anyone has some advice I would apreciate it very much

Thanks in advance!!!

its been sometime since i last did it but if you were to sit at the right side of your shifter and use the flat head screwdriver to pry it off from

the side of it (left side of the ball joints) rather than the top like the guide it might work better for you atleast it did for me. if your scratching

the ball joint's internals just stop and try again. It took me a while but once i understood how to get it done the 2nd one was easier.

Use a small flat head screw driver like sheepo said. The smaller the better so you can get deeper into the socket to help pry it off. There seems to be a sweet spot that if you hit it the cable shaft just comes off, dont try to force it too hard so you dont damage the socket.

I used two, one on each side of the ball. The lower one was really easy and I got it with only one screwdriver but that top one was a bitch.
