Anyone know why NAV doesn't come in N.A.? A follow up question: the hatchback has a compartment on the dash (where NAV would be), I believe. No such compartment exists in the sedan though. I was hoping to use this for a sweet aftermarket NAV system but no luck for me.

hmmm I wonder if I could order take the dash of a Hatch and toss it into the sedan. hmmm.

Are you in Canada?

The folks in the States get Nav....but Canadians don't :(

My SportGT doesn't have the compartment on the dash....and I don't have Nav either.

Oh... sorry. I coulda sworn the Hatch had the NAV compartment... must've been thinking about the Mazda6 I sat in. It had an empty glove compartment where NAV usually is. I like that cause I've seen some sweet ass aftermarket NAV setups using this glove compartment with electric motors to flip up the NAV screen.

That does look pretty good.....do you know how much was spent to put in the aftermarket stuff?
just over $3000
That's the price i had to pay for the pack GPS + xenon for my mz3, i couldnt have one without the other, (dont know why mazda decided that), i just needed the xenon light cuz i already had the pocket pc + gps :(
So i sold it  and took the "expensive pack" (they should have call it like that :x )

by the way, if you want a cheap way to get a really good gps :
go on ebay, buy an ipaq 38XX (around 200-300$) + a gps receiver HAICOM HI-203E (around 100$) + TomTom navigator (www.tomtom.com) you can buy or.... :D there is some others way to get it....

with that you'll have the perfect nav system, with voices, 3d design, point of interest and everything you need for around 400$ and you can use it in any car you have.

No problem.

Since everyone seems to be so shy, I'll start (also read the previous responses)

Personally, I'm not a fan of NAV b/c

1 - the price is ridiculous
2 - I can still read a map

But:

3 - it's a cool toy
4 - you can tell ppl you have it (bragging rights I guess)

I also think in NA where the roads are pretty clear (N-S or E-W) it's less of a benefit than in other parts of the world where getting to B is not so simple.
