I was wondering (too)...

When cruising down the highway... and using NAV...

Does anybody think that stick is in the way of the NAV buttons?

Why wouldn't the Mazda engineers think about this and put the NAV controls to the left of the stick, or maybe on the door??
Wouldn't that be better???

I never really noticed this as being an issue, it seems fine to me :dunno:

How tall are you? How do you keep your seat?
The stick is always blocking the sight of the buttons, on top of that I gotta go in between the stick and the parking brake to do something!

I'm on the short side, 5'9", keep my seat relatively far back but upright. Now that you mention it, I do a lot of the stuff on my navi by feel. Like how the zoom-in button has an indent. So I don't really look at the controls all that much.

The other thing is that I have almost never messed with it on the highway, so my car isn't in 6th. Usually it's in 5th or lower. That would explain the shifter being in the way for you but not for me.

I guess it would be better on the left side, but I guess it's just something you'll have to get used to. Now stop playing with the navi and throw her into some corners, you'll forget all your complaints!! :D
