I went on my second test drive of a 3S hatchback last night.
After my first visit, I had to go again to make sure I wasn't imaging things due to how much I liked it. The power in it is suprising, I test drove a Mazdaspeed Protege earlier this week and the 3S compares favorably. Obviously, there's nothing like the torque a turbo provides, but the 3S is still very smooth. And the 5 speed shifts beautifully and effortlessly. The suspension is nice and tight, but its a comfortable drive.
I don't like the radio and the center console. The radio looks ugly, especially when it lights up after you change the volume. And the digital display on the center console looks out of place.
Other than that, I think the 3 is great, especially for the price.
