Dont know if it has always been like this, or it has just happened recently, but this is starting to annoy me...

My drivers seat moves slightly in the backrest (maybe 5-7mm) when I push back on it... ie: accelerate hard, or brake hard (body moves forward, then back into the seat).

I jumped in the passenger side, and there is absolutely no movement at all.

I was wondering if this is the case for anyone else. I though it may be something to do with the height adjustment mechanism, but I would hate to think that the seat was breaking already!

I am not particularly heavy, but a client of mine is, and he tryed out the drivers seat one day and got in quite 'heavily.' I hope he hasnt wrecked something.

Either way, it doesnt feel normal, and may be a safety issue...

Any ideas, guys?

Address it with the dealership - they will rectify the problem. It shouldn't do that and warranty covers stuff like that.

Need to get it looked at by dealer. Sounds as if there is a stop that has loosened or bent? I haven't looked at the mechanix of the thing but suspect the dealer will have to take down the back rest adjuster to get at the problem. Probably not worth doing yourself as you can get it done under warranty. I do advise that you get it looked at soon though. Every time I have put off taking a car to the dealer the problem has increased. Let us know how you go. Probably a simple fix.
