My 2006 Titanium Grey GT Destroyed in Accident

Today on 287 North in Parsippany NJ, icey out - going to work - my car slid into a fishtail going 35 mph in the slow lane (I only go about 1 mile to work), I couldn't gain control (Should have replaced the shitty Goodyear RSA's..couldn't afford it yet) Anyway, a pick up truck slammed into the side of my car while I was spinning, and a Salt truck slammed into him, slamming my car up against the guard rail. windows shattered, side smashed up and rear.

I'm devasted, I learned about Mazda3's on this forum, and this GT '06 was my first new car with Navigation, xenons, etc. I treasured this car. I did all of the accessory mods and i'm so upset over this.

omg i SO feel for you, i just lost the baby in my sig on saturday.

It's much newer than mine, you'll probably come out a lot better than i am. I can only buy the most basic sedan with my payoff, but you can maybe get another hatch or even a GT.
thanks...i just loved this car, it took me so long to find one with nav and stuff..i miss my car so much. i feel like someone died, i don't know why..i just adored this car..it was really personal you know?

im literally scared to death of NJ highways

i want to move..
haha...oh-man...so you were the parsippany 287 accident...that sucks...If it going under "your fault"?
I hope not...I mean, I was barely even moving when they hit into me..I'll let you know what happened..

Man..I sure did not expect this today at all. I'm one of those drive 25 mph when it snows out with hazards on kinda people.

I really should have replaced those goodyear rsa's...i really should have

the trucks barely had a dent of course.

i justg adored this car..i think im seriously going to have a breakdown over this
I hear ya...I am sure insurance will claim it as "no fault" or "natural causes". Either way, you should have your wonderful car back in 2/3 weeks. It sucks none the less just dealing with all that.

The RSAs gave me alot of HELL last year so I smartened up this winter and got a winter tire set-up...hopfully you will have smartened up by next winter too.

Werd, i'm mourning mine like a dead friend, seriously it's hard and i've shed many tears. People are like "it's just a car" but they obviously haven't had that kind of bond with an automobile, so how could they know.
hindsight is 20/20

Sorry to hear your loss.

Winter tires > visual accessories. Unfortunately you learned that lesson the hard way. :(
thanks for the support everyone. i'm being told my car (from only one body shop source) my car is going to be totaled. What do you folks think? It drove ok to get onto the flat bed..im not sure tho...

but i hear you about the tears....I owe mazda3forums.com a lot of ideas and motivation to get the car..i just loved this little community and spend many nights reading about detailing, etc..

Oh well...I will say that for the price i got this thing, it had xenons, auto headlights, tpms..the works...people were impressed that my 3 had all this cool stuff in it..it cost about 21.6...i need to go to kbb.com and see how much its worth..it only had 14k miles on it

oi
Damnnn mann... 287 is a bitch... I lost my car by exit 58. Samething happened only with really bad rain.

RSA=Lost me a great car.

Let me tell you tho, whats hott is insurance will give you top dollar for your car if totaled. Then you can get an 07 unless you want something else..

Yesterday it took me 2 hours to get to work. I drive from exit 53-37 I didnt see your car tho, but I did see the flat taking off on the shoulder lane. They're were a bunch of accidents yesterday. All roads/highways were very icyyy...

What time was the accident?

More than likely, you'll come out ahead. I see no reason for it not to work.

Can you scavenge things off the totalled car to put in the new one? I.E. Nav.
I don't know if I am to late....I probably am looking at the last post date. However if you by any chance still have the car and decide you want to part out that navigation let me know I'll buy it. And that goes for anyone with navigation on a totalled 3.

By the way sorry for your loss and sorry for all the future losses out there that have navigation on there 3 that they want to part out.

thats a tuff one to take
