yup, this bad boy only has 3800 miles and its crashed already. i slid under an 07 tahoe, not a good match to my little 4 banger.

so i was drivin down a 6 lane road in traffic when i hear tires and people honkin so i look to my right and i see a semi comin out from a side street and cuttin everyone off. when i look forward traffic is stopped completely. it was too late to stop and bam! right up underneath a brand new tahoe. luckily i was only goin 30mph so i dropped it down to bout 15 or 20 when i hit him. the dude was pretty chill bout it, he was worried that the sensors in his bumper were broken, meanwhile my car is crunched lol. cops came bla bla and wrote me a ticket $115 bucks. mega gay he said i was tailgating which i wasnt so im gonna fight it in court. but oh well took the car to the body shop yesterday got an estimate and it came to 5800 just for body work but they forgot to add in the roof (oh yea my hood hit my roof and now its smashed as well) but ne ways thats just the beginnin now they gotta pull it apart and see wats wrong under the hood. it said there was a total of 56 items to fix on body work... didnt know i had that many parts

Any rear end hit is almost automatically the fault of the person in the car behind for being inattentive or not leaving enough space between him/her and the car in front. This is how I've seen it in almost every situation like that, there really isn't any way around that.

I think citations get issued for most accidents. My ex got a citation when she flipped her car off the road. didn't hit anyone but still had to pay a ticket.

why shouldnt you get a ticket?!? you werent paying attention and as a result you damaged someones car who was minding thier own buisness. lucky you didnt hurt sombody.

yea that's pretty lame bout ur gf gettin a citation. i could understand if someone was bein careless and messin around then i'd give em a ticket. but its called an accident for a reason. if i were the cop id think wow this person already has enough probs he just wrecked his car. sorry to hear bout ur girl though, she ok?

yea this happened 6 months ago. The point is she WAS driving carelessly and deserved a ticket. There is really no reason you should rear end someone unless there is black ice involved and even then if those conditions are present you should just slow down. I'm not trying to give you a hard time, but of all the times I've ever come close to rear ending someone was because i was completely inattentive and the only reason I didn't hit them is because of the big ass brakes on the 3.
